As I was about to pass out of college, there were plenty of contests going around in the campus. Of them, one of the most interesting ones was the APM(Associate Product Manager) contest by Flipkart.
I just happened to stumble across these slides from that time. Though a bit cringe-worthy, I did manage to get a shortlist within the top ten from the entire college. Quite a feat considering, the fact that pretty much, the entire college was after this contest. Shortlisted candidates were eligible for an entry into their coveted APM program.
Problem Statement: Discuss a real-life object or tool that you use and how can you improve it?
While the graphics were really out of the place, the humour probably did do the trick for me. I eventually, bowed out in the subsequent rounds. Never the less, this was quite an endearing experience and introduction into the world of product management.
